This is a list of user-visible differences to Crowdtrust.net for the upgrade of Sept. 25, 2007.

Significant changes:

  • Profiles – We have added the ability to expand your personal or group profile. Through your profile, you can share information about yourself to others. You can upload a photograph, add a description or other types of information. Your profile displays your popular tags. Clicking on an active link of your user ID will bring visitors to your profile.
  • Names for Memos – A memo can now have a name for easy access.  This is a means of making memos act as Wiki pages. A page with a name can be referred to by adding {{[[}}Page{{]]}} to an edited page.  This constitutes a reference to the page named "Page" with the same owner.
  • Memo metadata – A memo now shows its owner as "in leei" (for example) and its creator as "by leei", if it is different from the owner.
  • Memo lists – The memo list for a User now includes all memos that user has created no matter who is specified as owner, while the memo list for a Group now includes memos owned by that group and all memos with visibility specified for that group.
  • Messages – The messages page has been completely revamped.
  • Front Page – The front page (accessed by clcking on the name Crowdtrust.net at the top of the screen) now provides a description of the system, an example story of its use, and the "Pulse" of the system as a summary of recent use.
  • Memo visibility – A memo's ownership can only be changed by its creator, while its visibility can be modified by any owner.

Minor interface changes:

  • Memo: "order" functionality added (created vs. updated)
  • Memo: "display style" added (excerpted vs. expanded)
  • Memo: "read more/details" phrases replaced by the little triangle at the left
  • Memo: "save" is replaced by "copy"
  • Memo: in CrowdTrust, "in" refers to tags; in OpnTag, "in" refers to owner
  • Creating memos: "visibility" is replaced by "audience"
  • Creating memos: "recent tags" added
