Get the Gleanlet

Capture and share web content with a single click!

Glean It! Our "gleanlet" (like a "bookmarklet" - a tool that resides in your browser) allows you to quickly glean content for yourself or to share.

Whenever you are browsing content that you want to save for later reference, just click the “Glean it!” link in your toolbar and you will be able to add the content to your Gleanr account. If you only want to save a small portion of the content on the page, just select and highlight the content you want and then start the gleaning process.

You can also use the Gleanr gleanlet to create personal notes. Start by clicking on the “Glean it!” link then click on the “Personal Note” link in the top right of the gleanlet dialog and now you can create your note.

Add the gleanlet to your browser

Firefox, Safari, Chrome: Drag the “Glean It!” image located at the top right onto your browser’s link bar and that's it — you're good to go!

Internet Explorer 8: Right-Click the “Glean It!” image located at the top right and select "Add to Favorites", saving it under the “Favorites Menu” folder. If you can not see the gleanlet in the browser UI, first turn on the “Favorites Bar” by selecting the menu item View>Toolbars>Favorites Bar. (You may need to unlock the toolbar first by selecting View>Toolbars>Unlock the Toolbars).

Internet Explorer 7: Right-Click the “Glean It!” image located at the top right and select "Add to Favorites", saving it under the “Links” folder. If you can not see the gleanlet in the browser UI turn on the “Link Bar” by right clicking on the favourites button (the star to the left of the tabs) and selecting the “Link Bar” menu item.

Internet Explorer 6: Right-Click Glean It! and select "Add to Favorites", then select the "Links" folder. If you are unable to see the gleanlet, first make sure that the Links Bar is visible by selecting the Tools>Toolbar>Links bar. (You may need to unlock the toolbar first by selecting Tools->Toolbars->Unlock the Toolbars). If the link bar appears to the far right of the address field, drag the right edge of the "Links bar" out to the left until you can see "Glean It!".
