Urban Subjects

Urban Subjects is a cultural collective formed with the goal of researching and developing artistic projects focusing on urban issues. Recognizing that globalization has intensified urbanization worldwide, Urban Subjects aims to investigate the global-urban nexus: how are the forces of globalization transforming cities; what roles does culture take in shaping the globalized city; what are the reconfigurations of modernity in the globalized city; and how is the city emerging as a platform for new social, political, and cultural claims of citizens.
