Together with SEAM MOBILE, the Mobile MUSE Network launched the Mobile Vancouver International Film Festival (Mobile VIFF) in 2006 as a demonstration of rich, mobile services enhancement of public events. Similar services were extended to the Whistler Film Festival in 2006, with anticipation of application to a variety of public events and festivals leading up to the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver.
