The learning potentials of the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver are amplified by the shift from TV (passive) to web (interactive) media, and the fact that most students globally will be in class when the games are on.  I had been working to achieve some of these potentials since early in the bid-book phase, and working on the University of British Columbia's contribution to the 2010 Games as the premier local academic institution.  Working directly with VanOC, I was one of a small team that is created participation opportunities for K-12 students and teachers.
