In 1986 I founded the original BC Shad Valley Program, so it was an honor to help establish Canada's First Nations Shad Valley Program in 2002.

Shad Valley provides an intensive science and entrepreneurship experience for exceptionally qualified senior high school students.  The PESKA First Nations Program debuted in 2003 on the UBC campus as a feeder program for first nations high school students into this national leadership program. As part of Shad Valley's BC Organizing Committee, I lead the conception of the program along with funding applications and implementation.
